All life is a chance. The person who goes farthest is the one who is willing to do and dare.

The employee's mistake !
The worst way to earning one's living is to sell one's time. That's what an employee does ...

Keep on Sleeping..., poverty is watching you !
I went by the field of the lazy man,
And by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding;
And there it was, all overgrown with thorns;
Its surface was covered with nettles;
Its stone wall was broken down.
When I saw it, I considered it well;
I looked on it and received instruction:
A little sleep, a little slumber,
A little folding of the hands to rest;
So shall your poverty come like a prowler,
And your need like an armed man.
From the Bible, New King James version, Book of King Salomon's Proverbs, chapter 24, verses 30 to 34

Stop planning for summer, plan for the future !
There are two ways to face the future. One way is with apprehension; the other is with anticipation.
Jim Rohn, motivational speaker and business philosopher
I often ask the following questions to people around me:
"What are you planning for the next 15 years ?", "What do you want your lifestyle to look like in 2025 ?", "Have you decided what you want to see yourself doing as a job ?"
When asked this question a lot of people just feel confused, embarrassed. They are not comfortable about these questions. The answer is generally vague; most of the time they don't give me any answer.
But if I ask them "by the way, what are you planning for next summer holidays ?" Immediately they feel enthusiastic giving me details about the places they have planned to visit next summer holiday.... ;-)
I always find it fascinating that people better plan for their summer holidays than they plan for their lives ! what a shame !
They have no idea of what they want for themselves nor have they any idea of what will occur to them in the years to come ! Actually, nobody knows anything about what will happen to him (or her) in the future. Indeed no one is able to guess precisely what is going to happen tomorrow.
Nevertheless, YOU CAN DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT YOUR LIFE TO LOOK LIKE in the future, can't you ? You can (and must) shape your life ! Don't let the society shape it for you !
Today people unfortunately care more about spare time hobbies and amusements than more serious matters concerning their lives. When it comes to think and design our own lives, we have no idea of what to do. We just apprehend instead of anticipating. A lot of us are building a family, they have a 20 years-long bank loan for buying their house and are just waiting for retirement in some decades. Nothing else !
They think their actual job is safe and secure and they keep on thinking such thoughts until the day they come to be announced that their company has to lay of hundreds of people due to economic issues ! That was the case of some banks during the sub-prime crisis.
We have to anticipate and design our lives instead of moving from place to place just when a given event occur in our life or we don't like anymore our current lifestyle.
If you don't plan your life, chances are you are involved in someone else plan; and Guess what they have planned for you ? Not much !
Kind Regards,
Emmanuel
